Random Musings...

We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same.
– Anne Frank

She was one wise kid! I read her diaries years ago but haven't read them recently. I think it'd be a good idea to though. She was an amazing character and a historical icon yet when she was writing she was just a trapped teenager.

Anyways, not sure what made me think of that! Any thoughts? lol. Will blog again soon...

A bit of forward planning (in fact VERY forward planning)

What do you think?
I'm thinking this colour and style for the bridesmaids, all 6 of them! (the dresses will be made by Matt's mummy).
My dress will be white/ivory, simple but prettyful.
Tulips for flowers.
A white cake, with tulips maybe?
So what are your plans for May 1st 2010, busy?

Losing pounds (lbs)

There is so much diet and exercise stuff around now convincing people that they need to lose their 'christmas weight', did you know the average person puts on 6-8lbs of weight over Christmas! At weight watchers the queue was so long and the room full of new members, it's as though a new year is the only time when people decide to lose weight!
You may have noticed i mentioned a weight watchers meeting, well yes, i'll finally confess to hacing attended meetings for around 2-3 months now! I've lost a total of 9 and a half lbs. Which is a fair amount and i am proud to say that even though i ate chocolate and yummy xmas stuff i did not put on a single bit of weight! Woooo!
Well the aim of this post was firstly so that the new lighter me can feel better and also so that i can wonder WHY is everyone suddenly interested in weight and who bets it'll wear off within a month of so! Me, i plan to stik with it, i'll let you know how i get on.

P.S if you happen to see any weights read the amounts and see how heavy 9lbs actually is! it's suprising!
P.P.S Yay to dropping a dress size, a watch loop and ring sizes!

Christmas, Paris, Love... the works...

Well! What a week!
I had a fantastic Christmas and got loads of lovely pressies including a hot pink 4gb personalised ipod nano, and a piece of gorgeous ladro.
THEN A few days later i was off to Paris (as my present to my darling boyfriend) we had a great time there too, we shopped, went to the Louvre (and shopped) went to Montparnasse and enjoyed a view (a misty one), got engaged, queued for the Eiffel Tower, gave up, went on a romantic 4 course dinner cruise which was AMAZING and then we came back, two very happy people :D
AND YES I DID SAY GOT ENGAGED!!! Woo! (Love you Matt)
SO some very eventful times which included moments such as having to move hotel and realising we had been moved to a hotel in a red light district opposite the 'play' lounge, net to the Sexodrome and very close to a cinema/live show (of the raunchy variety) and surrpunded by at least 20 sex shops/small screen cinemas/shows. Luckily the area was still very safe and we weren't in our hotel for long (the hotel itself was nice).
We also got on the wrong train half way home and so went on about 3 extra trains but it was cool anyway.

On a different note, anyone else played the PS2 buzz jungle game? Isn't it fab!

And on another note, i'll post pictures of my ring soon, hehe, thing is I PROPOSED and then my sweetie got me a ring today (and suprised me with it)

Any ideas for the wedding???

I'm going to end this epic blog with my mood currently

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Santa Wrote Back!!

I posted my letter in Asda, they had a giant cuddly Mumble (from the Happy Feet Film) teddy and a postbox for letters to santa. I posted mine (asking santa for the giant Mumble teddy) and he wrote back. he actually did!
There was a letter up in Asda, to Suzie. I've scanned it in below. You can't really read it, but this is what it says:

Dear Suzie, Age 19,
Thankyou for posting your letter at ASDA Great Yarmouth.
Mumble the penguin has picked up your letter and tap danced all the way to the North Pole to deliver it directly to me and my elves.
Have a wonderful and snowy Christmas,

Santa Claus

P.S I know Mumble is great, isn't he? Unfortunately he has to come back to the North Pole after Christmas to have a rest, as he's been really busy this Christmas.

Now isn't that the most fabulous thing! For all you cynics, see he DOES exist :)
*Christmassey Giggles*

3 more sleeps to go...

3 more sleeps to santa
3 more sleeps til the big fat man comes down your chimny and eats your food and drinks your beer
3 more sleeps to santa

wooo! I'm working tonight, all day tomorrow and all day Christmas eve (no so bad when you consider i get double pay)
But it's all kinda good because i'll be busy and so have less time to get too hyper. Lol.
So woo for santa

I wrote a letter for santa and posted it in the Asda santa postbox. It read:

Dear Santa, I have been very good this year.
I would like a giant penguin and some cookies. I like cookies.
Suzie. 19.

think he's got it yet?

It's 6.25am and I am awake, why?

Because i've got another mysterious cold! They attack me, last all of 4-5 hours and then they go. BUT they tend to attack me at night, leaving me sooo tired. Well this one took hold about an hour ago, normally i lay in bed and suffer but boredom and the fact its nearly daytime have me up in my living room, wrapped in blankets, watching GMTV news and wondering why it had to wake me up now! I have SO little time ever to sleep in. This was one of only 3 days where it'll be possible and now look! That's one ruined! I've got a cup of tea and a cat for company. I'm bored. I did think of waking the sleeping boyfriend, but he looked so cosy! So i've left him, and i've left a trail of lights on so he can find me when he wakes up to see me missing. Lol. Well i'm going back tomy nseezing wheezy little land. It's morning tv, and the wonderful world of the internet to keep me, entertained (if you can call it that) so i bid you a good morning and hope you're feeling much better than i am...

The true spirit of Christmas is love

That's what it should all be about. I give presents to show those I love that I think of them and that's what Christmas is, the day where everything is good.

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful."

Last day of college (woo) and NEARLY CHRISTMAS!

I'm getting excited now (understatement). In my dream last night I met Santa. He was a very nice man, he offered me a cookie, and I like cookies.
Christmas is going to be FANTASTIC, mine and Matt's family are spending the day (and Christmas eve) together so it will be extra special as last year we had to keep moving from house to house trying to make sure we saw everyone.
It will be nice to all be together
*thinks warm family thoughts*
And it will be good to rest from college, though i am working Christmas eve until 8!! I'm going to be so excited and i'll have to stay calm (ish) as I'm on reception by myself and there will be 640 guests milling around! Ah the joys of hotel life.

Anyhoowah.
Yeah, Christmas is good.. wooo for baby Jesus.
Lol.

Golden slumbers fill your eyes, smiles await you when you rise...

And why this post? All in the name of Happy Feet! For the ignorant amongst you Happy Feet is of course a film about tap dancing and singing penguins.

I LOVE this film, little penguin Mumble can't find his heartsong, all he can do is dance, which means he may never meet a partner penguin. How sweet is that! It's an all singing all dancing cute penguin spectacular and should be seen by everyone!!

Anyway, may penguin power be with you!
